Mr and Mrs Vandeford

November 17, 2017

When i first started photographing Stephanie and Ian they won a session with me during the winter season! They had no idea what was in store but were very willing to stomp through the 2 foot snow drifts to get adorable snow kissed pictures! When I saw that they got engaged I was crossing my fingers and frankly praying my butt off that they would ask me to capture their wedding day! When I got the email from Stephanie I did a big happy`dance! I then had the opportunity to not just do one engagement session but two! One of those while touring the Scotttrade center, because this couple are HUGE blues fans! I mean seriously big fans, their wedding was blues themed!!!!! The only thing that makes this story sad is that their wedding is over and now I just have to wait till they let me take more pictures of them!

A look at their wedding day their eyes!

What was the funniest part of your wedding day?

Stephanie: At the end of the evening, I was taking down my hair. About half way through, my arms were exhausted, Ian said he would help. For what seemed like an hour, we laughed as we spent the evening taking out bobby pins. At one point Ian asked me if my head was producing them.

Ian: As the bridal party walked down the aisle, I am hugging the groomsmen as they got to me. When i hugged Alex and turned back toward the aisle, I was surprised to see Susan coming at me for a hug of her own. It made me laugh.

What was one thing that you will remember forever?

Stephanie: The ceremony. I will never forget how excited I was to see Ian at the end of the aisle.

Ian: I will never forget the look on Stephanie's face when she saw the surprise pictures of our engagement. I had waited an entire year for that moment and it was totally worth it!

Any advice for future couples?

Stephanie: Enjoy every minute! Don't worry about everything going perfectly. It will be a perfect day no matter what small issues arise!

Ian: Make the day your own. Don't try to have the fanciest wedding, just have the event that most reflects who you are as people.
